A time when we cannot speak
A time when there's turmoil inside of us
A time when we often wondered what lies ahead
A time when dark clouds follow us everywhere
A time when we feel scared
A time when we kneel down and pray
Because we are afraid of the changes
Because its easier when we lay down our yoke
Because its easier to be grateful for everything
Because its easier to hope and wish
Because its easier to believe in our hopeless state
Praying that our greatest fear will not overcome us
I am looking for a ray of sunshine
I want to bask in it
To look for my piece of grass to lie upon
To find peace and solace
To find God amidst the chaos of the world
To let my ashes fall upon the ocean
Let my spirit wander in the universe
In a world populated by millions of people
Where everyone is interconnected
We tried to reach out and touch
And yet we often ask ourselves
The same questions over and over again
We feel the heaviness of the stone weigh us down
Slowly, down into the depth of infinity
